Today I covered 25 km. Sunny, but loose snow from the last day’s snowfall.
With yesterday we have the first critical week in the box. It will be essential to stabilize the distance in the days ahead. We anticipate that Bertrand needs somewhere between days 10 and 14 to understand what is required, and then he can start to look ahead.
Now there is about 200 km left of Berkner, which is a significant milestone. It looks like he is aiming to complete 25 km per day, which is extremely good, and perhaps above what we thought/planned.
There will be some lovely, stable weather days ahead, so we hope to get a good picture this week. But do not disregard the fact that it is vital to reset the body with a half or full rest day.
